Cognito Alloy Series HD Upper Ball Joint comes in select Cognito Upper Control Arm kits. For 1999-2006 Chevrolet and GMC 1500 2WD/4WD trucks, 2000-2006 Chevy and GMC 1500 2WD/4WD SUVs, 2007-2018 Chevy and GMC 1500 2WD/4WD trucks and SUVs with OE cast steel control arms.

Ball joints are a moving part and therefore a normal wear item on any vehicle. The Cognito design is a bolt in style ball joint that is easy to replace on the Cognito ball joint style upper control arm kits.

This heavy-duty ball joint is a greaseable hardened alloy steel precision CNC machined joint. It is spring loaded so that any slight wear will be taken up and not affect its operation for maximum life.

This type of ball joint must be greased every 3,000 to 6,000 miles depending on driving terrain and conditions. Castle nut, cotter pin, grease fitting and boot are included. Does not include mounting hardware.
