Great product, the ride (4runner) is amazing, rears come with bushings, fronts do not. Other than that very pleased, fast shipping, no damaged parts due to mispacking

I put these on my 2017 TRD OFF road premium (which is the trail) 4runner to allow for a bigger tire, and with these I was able to squeeze a 285/70/17 (33’s) Toyo Open Country under, but there is a little bit of rub when compressed at a full turn. Rides perfect now, but I plan to lift in the future and the tech said I can still use these with the lift kit.

Great product!!! The shocks were shipped the same day of the purchase and they were at my door in two days. Perfect fit. This is my second set of shocks I bought from Bilstein and I my continue to do business with them

Great pricing from bilsteinlifts.com and the shipping was SUPER quick. Installed my lift about 3 days ago and am VERY happy with the results. Did 2.5″ up front with stock springs and 1.5″ rear spacer. My caster was maxed out at .5º but I was very surprised at how well the truck handles. I would say it drives the same as stock but about 10-15% stiffer which is preferred .

I ordered the Bilstein 5100’s and 1.5″ rear spacers and the order was sent to me separately but very quick (3 days at my door). I got an email from these guys letting me know it was going to be shipped separately which was a cool heads up. I haven’t installed these yet but will follow up with pics and review once installed.

Extremely happy with this set up. Bilsteinlifts.com had the best pricing compared to other places I looked, and as everyone else has mentioned, the shipping was super quick. I installed this on my 2016 4Runner Trail Premium (2.5” in the front with stock coils and a 1.5” Daystar rear spacer), which allowed me to run bigger tires (285/70/17) with only minor trimming needed. The ride and the looks are a definite improvement from the stock set up.

Wow, what a difference! Wish I had put these on 40K miles ago.

We were about to get rid of our 5th gen 4Runner because the it had the responsiveness of a boat. It had tons of body roll in corners and ridiculous nose dive when braking. Had the 5100 kit installed about a week ago. Set the front @ 1.75 and added a 1.5″ spacer to the rear. It’s like a completely different truck. The progressive factory springs still provide a comfortable ride, but the shocks greatly improved the handling.

Put on my 2018 4 runner before I drove the vehicle away from the dealer! I set the fronts at 1.75 and used 1″ rear spacers from Cornfed Suspensions. This setup is fantastic. The on road driveability is superb!! Off road the 5g4r is even better!!! I will have Bilsteins on everything I own forever!

Questions and answers of the customers

  1. Answered by the admin Yes, it will fit - shock mountings are the same
  2. A We estimate that front shocks are about 0.59" longer than stock and rear shocks are about 1" longer than stock
  3. Answered by the admin Front 5100s are longer then stock and also improve ride quality. Suspension travel will not decrease in such a way as if using spacers
  4. Answered by the admin UCA's are recommended but not require, the benefit of the UCA's is to  fix the caster when the vehicle is getting aligned and also helps you a  lot with articulation on the front end. Front lift is 2,5'' by these shocks. Rear shocks are just longer then stock - if you want to lift the rear end you'll need rear coils Such tires will fit without rubbing, bigger tires may require some trimming. Also precise castercamber adjustment may help. Rim* Tire Width* Tire* Backspace* 8" 12" 32.5" 4.5" Diff drop kit is recommended for 4WD trucks for 1.5'' of front  lift and more to increase the CV axles life.
  5. Answered by the admin We haven't tested it by ourselves but yes if it has the same suspension as FJ Cruiser and 4Runner
  6. Answered by the admin Comes as pictured - with rear shock bushings. Frontbushings can be purchased separately or old bushings can be reused if they are in a good shape * * * https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/1995-2004/front-shock-replacement-bushing-washer-kit/
  7. Answered by the admin Diff drop kt is one and only - it is recommended for 4WD trucks for 1.5'' of front  lift and more to increase the CV axles life.
  8. Answered by the admin Hello, in order to figure out how much lift you need to level please take existing measurements from center of the wheel hub to the bottom of the fender. Difference between front and rear is how much lift you need to level. https://prntscr.com/gfgxwt The height is different on 4th gen 4Runners, some of them sit at 18 inches, some at 18.5 and some at 19 inches, the rear is 21 inches on these vehicles. So after 1,5'' raising the rear you'll still have front rake but it may be less then factory
  9. Answered by the admin Yes, it will work. We can offer https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-4runner/03-09-4runner/toytec-superflex-rear-coils-toyota-fj-cruiser-and-03-09-4runner/ and https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-fj-cruiser/firestone-rear-airbags/ for the rear
  10. Answered by the admin It was designed to work on stock coils .nIt will lift the front by shocks height adjustment
  11. A I have the exact same vehicle with that tire size. It'll rub a bit at full turn in reverse
  12. Answered by the admin Can't say exactly about tires, as for rear lifted coils - yes, they are installed
  13. Answered by the admin Diff drop kit is recommended for front lift mote then 1.5'' * * * https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/2005-2015/front-differential-drop-kit/

  22. A I don't think that is accurate. There is nothing shock-related with kdss. You may have confused it with xreas on the Limiteds.
  23. Answered by the admin

Yes, if you want the rear end be lifted you will require maybe springs or some other rear lift options.

If you want your rear end remain the stock height, these rear shocks will fit without any lift option.

  24. Answered by the admin

These shocks will work with stock coils.

Front shocks can be adjusted for a 0-2,5'' lift.

Rear can work with 0'' lift, they can't be adjusted. If you want to gain rear lift some rear lift options such as blocks or add a leafs will be needed.

  25. Answered by the admin Yes, it will fit. Please keep in mind that it will disable XREAS if it is installed.
  26. Answered by the admin

No, only rear shocks 33-187174 will fit the 2007 FJ 2WD

For the front shocks 24-239370 must be used.
