Tire Information:

Q. What size tires can I run on stock wheels with the 3″ kit?
We have not tested every wheel/tire size on these trucks, but 265/75/16 tires are about the largest for the 2005up  trucks, on stock wheels. The back spacing, and distance of the tire to suspension components is very close on the front end.

Q. What size tires can I run on a 16×8″ wheel?
With 4″ or 4.5″ back spacing we have several trucks running 285/75/16 tires, but they may rub on the front depending on wheel width, and back spacing. We do not guarantee any tire/ wheel fitment and recommend you have your tire dealer install and “test fit” any wheel tire combination you are considering

NOTE: Toytec Lifts Suspension parts do not fit 5 wheel lug Tacomas.

Only for 6-lug Tacomas.

    Easy install, Looks great..!

    Bryan Knodel

Easy installation and a great looking stance to the vehicle. Make sure to read the above warning about what level to install the coil bucket on the new shock. The directions that come with the shock are for stock springs only. CV boots will get damaged and spring will contact control arm making for an interesting test drive. Also wheel spacers for the front are a must as the suspension gets sucked in when lifted and narrows front track width. Great value!

Great product, looks good on my TRD sport!

Piece of cake to install! I even lost a bolt & the customer service here was a breeze. It took less than 4 hours to do the whole install once I got the struts assembled at a shop.

Simply awesome. Customer service was patience with my order and the stuff came packed up really nicely and quick. A little cutting getting some older shocks out, but so worth it. Assembled at my local shop on the second ring slot, which for me measured out just above 3″. I could not be happier with the entire process with Bilstein and with the 5100’s. I recommend getting replacement shock bushings to have some fresh rubber when they all get put back together.

The lift kit ended up turning out better than expected. The ride is fantastic, and it was really easy to install. The kit comes with ALMOST all new hardware. The only bad thing I have to say (and it’s not really that big of a deal if you know what you’re looking for) about the kit is that with the 5100 front shocks, there is only one new washer to mount the shock to the top hat (2 are required). I didn’t figure this out until I had everything back together and something didn’t quite feel right during the test drive. Of course I could have avoided this if I had paid attention to the dis-assembly a little closer, but considering the kit came with all new hardware everywhere else I just missed it. I just ended up re-using one of the old washers.

I installed this kit a week ago. So far so good. The rides is stiffer, especially in the rear. I’ll assume that gets better over time. My truck is perfectly level. Looks good. Handles corners well. The smaller bumps are less jarring than stock shocks. Overall, very satisfied. Install was straightforward. Hardest part is getting the front shock eyelets into the lower control arm. PITA. Bilstein lifts did a great job with customer svc.

Put this on my Tacoma a month ago. Ride quality is great and I like the silver toytec shocks in the front. I like this lift a lot. Not very costly and easy to install. One thing I would offer as advice is to replace your drivers side dif needle bearing because it will make off noise when lifted with ANY LIFT…also I ordered the EMU carrier bearing drop kit and it helped the geometry of the drive line. This is also located on their website. This company is great!

Love this kit! Installation was a blast! Easy bolt on! Nice quality and the silver springs from toytec are heavy duty, and matched the color of my Tacoma overall I enjoyed putting this product on and driving. It’s works way better than stock and performed as good as an remote reservoir shock I’ve ever used.

Nice setup. Truck rides great. Looks good. Suspension travel and the trucks ability to crawl over objects greatly improved. Looks great as well. I’m happy.

Hello, I am looking this kit for importation but I need the box size description to quote shipping. You know if this kit fits Toyota Hilux 2016?

    Thank you for your time!.

    2.5″ max ):

So here’s what I brought home from the dealer:
2015 Tacoma Dbl Cab 4×4 Off Road (6-Lug)
    Duratec 285/70R17 Tires
XD Series Wheels w/ proper backspacing
3″ Front / 1″ Rear (Spacer) Leveling Kit

It looked cool, but I had no wheel travel & there was some contact at fill compression. So I bought and had the local shop install a Warn VR 8000-S (synthetic) Winch w/Hause Fairlead / approx 90lbs. (with internal mount) & the Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Shocks for my model year and had the local shop install them at top ring with my stock shocks…

Needless to say there was A LOT of tire rub, so I ordered the Eibach/Toytec 112-620 Springs and Total Chaos UCAs & had the local shop install the springs on the Billy’s at the Second Level (per Website Instructions), with 1/2″ spacers on Both Sides and the optional 1/4″ Spacer on the Driver’s Side for ‘Tacoma Droop’ AND perform a Cab Mount Chop (CMC).

There was still rub, but it seemed to be coming from the inner-fender flares, so I cut-out a substantial amount of the inner fender plastic, which helped a lot

That Seemed to Work at First, or at least got me back to the ride quality I had when I first took it home. I felt better knowing I had more capable components under me, but there was still a little contact before full compression up-front.

Speed Bumps disappear at speeds in-excess of 40 MPH (:

But then, after about 2 months, the suspension ‘settled-in’ and I started noticing embarrassing tire rub at the slightest in-town obstacles.

I went back to the dealership today (8/3/2016) and measured a stock Tacoma TRD from middle-of-hub to the bottom of the fender & it came in at 21″, I turned around and measured mine and it was only 23.5″ ):

All that, and I only achieved 2.5″

I have an appointment next week to bend-over the pinch welds and cut the fenders until there is no contact, but I was really hoping this was the solution I needed.

I’m currently looking at ICON, Fox & King coil-overs right now for something I can take off-road with confidence. I hope Bilstein/Toytec ups their game, because I can’t really recommend their package to a friend at this time.

I bought the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks with new coils and 2 inch add a Leaf in the rear. kit is very easy to install and rides very smooth i’m running 285/75/18 with no rubbing at all. I am running the adjustable shocks at the 2 1/2 inch lift with only the Tacoma lean plate. I had a 2007 Tacoma as well with a 6 inch lift Procomp with coilovers it was all done right and I would pick this lift kit before I would do a Nother 6 inch any day 10 times better ride

Truck looks and feels amazing. Install was easy. Shipping was quick and customer service responded quickly when I had a question.
Some people note that you can get all the parts cheaper individually. It was worth it for me that the kit I ordered included *everything* I needed to do the install except Red Loctite and hand tools. Especially the coilover assembly. I used a buddy’s shop, it was nice to know I wouldn’t have to look for specialty tools (cough cough spring compressor cough cough rear bushing press)
Upgraded to the Dakar rear springs and they are way stronger than the Chinese pig iron that Toyota sends you from the factory. Forget the AAL/blocks and get these if you’ve got the extra $$.
    Overall A+!

5 stars for the lift. Talk about an amazing ride. Handles great, rides like Aladdin’s magic carpet!! The install was easy and straight forward. As for the company, I’d give them 3 stars and that’s being generous. I asked customer support about pre assembly after I placed my order, and they went ahead and charged my card without really getting any for of permission. Then the package gets “lost” for a few days. I finally get the lift and have the whole “kid at Christmas” moment of tearing boxes open only to find that I was charged $90 for them to preassemble the front coils and struts on the incorrect ride height setting. Customer service was decent, I had to send them back to have the settings changed due to no local shops having the proper equipment to so it. I wish they would have a call center rather than dealing with everything they email. They said they would refund the preassembly charge due to the setting issue and the delays, that refund is yet to show up on my account. But as far as the lift, it’s fantastic, I wouldn’t suggest any other lift. I’ve had others and none compare. buy it.

Fast shipping, great looking shocks, got the ride improvement I was looking for. 2013 Tacoma access cab pre runner, switched out stock shocks for these , 2nd clip setting gave me 3″ front, 2″ rear, truck is pretty leveled out, much better ride than the stock equipment. Definitely recommend this lift kit.

I ordered this kit because I had the 3″ leveling spacer installed on my truck and hated it. Very stiff ride.
I installed this kit and felt a completely different ride. Very comfortable. I achieved the 3″ with the spacers because I have heavy bumpers.
If you’re looking for a 3″ lift with ride quality, buy this one. Simple to install and the coils and shocks look awesome, I already got compliments.

Best lift for the money in my opinion rides way better than factory. Doesn’t ride like a tank anymore super smooth I changed out the A-arms (uca’s) as well highly recommend I went with tough country uca”s uniball. The bilstein lift looks good rides good an doesn’t break the bank. Mines set at 3 inch with aal in the rear

Good lift. Priced right. The only thing is I was charged an extra $25.00 because it was shipped out of Canada which I did not know at time of purchase. Didn’t find out until I received my credit card statement. Other than that, I’m satisfied.

It’s a nice setup but one of my front bushing mounts is welded cruked or the bushing is cruked. It mounts cruked on the lower control arm for this reason. Waiting to see if it causes an issue.

Questions and answers of the customers

  1. Answered by the admin You may try to do it at your own risk if you have heavy winch and heavy V6 engine (heavier than 4cyl)
  2. Answered by the admin Unfortunately 2016+ Tacomas are heavier especially with V6 and we haven't such kit
  3. A Torque upper nuts and lower bolt/nut to manufacture specs. Here is installation manual https://bilsteinlifts.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/bk0510.pdf
  4. Answered by the admin If you have 4cyl engine and no additional weight such as aftermarket bumper then probably you don't need the spacer. If you have V6 engine (heavier then 4cyl) and maybe some additional constant load carried then maybe yes
  5. Answered by the admin UCA's are recommended but not require, the benefit of the UCA's is to  fix the caster when the vehicle is getting aligned and also helps you a  lot with articulation on the front end. So Total Chaos upper control arms do require some maintenance specially on the uniball since its exposed, Pretty much once every 2 weeks the uniball needs to be cleaned with a microfiber towel and add a couple drops of Triflo lubricant otherwise clunking/squeaking sounds will come out of it. One major thing to keep in mind is that Total Chaos is a high performance UCA and everything is metal against metal so definitely weird sounds will come out of it even with proper maintenance. NOTE: This UCA's are not adjustable but the arm is designed to give the vehicle proper caster and more articulation on the front end SPC upper control arms are more designed for daily driving and tackle easy to moderate trail, also the upper ball joint is fully adjustable and regreasble as well. This SPC UCA's are pretty much maintenance free. NOTE: SPC UCA's will help to get the vehicle aligned and helps a lot with caster and camber If the client is planning on tackling really hard trails Total Chaos is a great choice or if he/she is planning on daily driving and doing easy/moderate trails SPC is the way to go
  6. Answered by the admin Here they are * * * https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/2005-2015/rear-bilstein-5100-shocks-2005-toyota-tacoma/
  7. Answered by the admin Please consider this https://bilsteinlifts.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/ToyTec_AAL_Install.pdf
  8. Answered by the admin For access cab with no additional weight please try 1stclip - it may give more then 2'' of lift. If less - htem may try 2nd clip but not more
  9. Answered by the admin When adding front bumper you may first try adjusting the shocks on higher notch. For stock weight it is not recommended to go higher then second notch adjustment not to overlift the truck. Or may use stronger coils - will depend n your bumer-and -what-else additional weight
  10. Answered by the admin no rear lift will be needed to level 1.5'' front lift
  11. Answered by the admin Excuse me, for TRD odd road Not with that kit unfortunately, you'lll need the 521600 coils for 2.5 inches https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/2005-2015/front-lifts-and-coilovers/toytec-2-5-3-inch-lift-front-coil-springs/ * * * https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/2005-2015/3-lift-kit-with-bilstein-5100-coilovers/
  12. Answered by the admin You may try 3rd clip but not higher if you have the additional weight youve specified and also V6 engine (heavier then 4cyl). Please be sure not to exceed 3'' of total lift - exceeding 3'' may damage the suspension
  13. Answered by the admin Stock brake lines will work, changing to extended brake lines is recommended for heavy offrpoaders who ride trails requiring full wheeltravel just to be on the safe side
  14. Answered by the admin Hello it will depend on your additional weight carried and coil springs condition, but basicly you'll get 1st clip setting – Approximately 1.5-2''″ 2nd clip setting – No less then 3″' or even slightly more - so note it is not recommended to exceed 3''
  15. Answered by the admin Spacers are not needed, but without them you'll get 2,5'' of front lift especially if carriyng some additional front weight
  16. Answered by the admin So on the BK0510 assembly will look something like this with a different top mount. Ride quality is pretty smooth and if we add the top plate spacer will be on top of the top mount and won't create any pre load on the springs. Overall this is a pretty good a smooth ride although if the client is planning on adding a bumper and winch i would definitely recommend an adjustable coil over. These coil overs (BK0510) are designed only to work with stock weight.
  17. Answered by the admin This picture shows how they will look after the assembly BUT the top mount is black (factory)
  18. Answered by the admin It will be 2 boxes 32x10x6 and 28x8x8 and the weight will be 38 lbs and 25 lbs for a total of 63 lbs
  19. Answered by the admin it will fit if you have the same shocks mountings and similar lengths, also same rear leaf springs as Tacoma FRONT shocks: Extended Length (IN): 22.56 Inch Compressed Length (IN): 17.03 Inch Rod Diameter (IN): 1.81 Inch Upper Mounting Style: Stem Lower Mounting Style: Eyelet REAR shocks: Extended Length (IN): 22.94 Inch Compressed Length (IN): 14.02 Inch Rod Diameter (IN): 1.81 Inch Upper Mounting Style: Stem Lower Mounting Style: Eyelet
  20. Answered by the admin It may lavel even withot front spacers if you have light (4cyl) Engine. For more heavy V6 engine the spacers will help to look more leveled. For the leveled look less rear lift (1'' blocks) are recommended. To know for sure taking measurements of front and rear wheel center (hub) - to - fender line is recommended to know what is front and rear height difference.
  21. Answered by the admin Sometimes when double cab has heavy V6 engine, some extra weight and weak used springs - they will gain less then 3'' lift without spacers. You'll not need extra spacers if your coil springs are strong. The 2 degree shim can be used for 2'' rear lift, not needed if having less lift https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/1995-2004/zinc-axle-degree-shims/
  22. Answered by the admin Unfortunatelly no. 23. Answered by the admin Does not come with Ubolts
  24. Answered by the admin Yes sir, 2 center pins will be attached to the add a leafs, the center pins (mounting bolts) are a little longer than factory center pins
  25. Answered by the admin This is not the kit that you purchased, you purchased a different kit that comes with coilovers assembled at 3". Please use contact us form to send pictures so we can see the issue.
  26. Answered by the admin Please don't exceed the total 3'' of lift - the control arms and cv axles not to be damaged
  27. Answered by the admin It will fit both front and rear. Please choose add a leafs option if you often carry much additional weight in the back. Some Double cab models may require top plate spacers for full 3" lift On a 4 cyl Standard Cab - 1st clip setting - Approximately 3"
  28. Answered by the admin Yes, this kit will be fine. Please choose 2'' add a leafs option for the rear if you ofthen carry some weight in the back. Diff drop kit is recommended for 4WD trucks
  29. Answered by the admin No, will not fit 2016-2017 years
  30. Answered by the admin We can offer Dakar springs if you really carry additional weight, but for regular ride without much load they will not make the ride more comfortable. Do you really need this option added?
  31. Answered by the admin Yes, it's possible to double the spacer. Please be sure you don't exceed the total 3'' of front lift not to damage the suspension parts and cv axles.
  32. Answered by the admin For 5lug Tacoma we can offer only stock height shocks unfortunatelly. You can use spacers but the suspension downtrawel will be reduced.
  33. Answered by the admin Top plate spacers doesn't affect ride quality if using long-travelling shocks like bilsteins. They can nly affect ride quality if making the suspnsion downtrawel less then stock. The wheel alignment is always recommended
  34. Answered by the admin Just choose a proper coilover assembly option, there are two - 1.5" and 3"
  35. Answered by the admin On a 4 cyl or Standard Cab - 1st clip setting - usually it gives Approximately 3" Standard cab and 4cyl models should use the Lowest C Clip setting Double cab models may require top plate spacers for full 3″ lift
  36. Answered by the admin Yes, there was a recent price increase. Our cost went up and we had to increase the price.
  37. Answered by the admin To get full 3" on a double cab you do need a spacer.
  38. Answered by the admin It is about 1/2"
  39. Answered by the admin

We haven't tested this kit with Spindles and don't have an exact answer.

This kit will fit 2011 tacoma prerunner 2wd as long as it is 6 lug.

  40. Answered by the admin Regulated UCA is not the bad idea, but the kit will work without it. Only in some cases of bigger wheels and tires it can be required for proper suspension settings. For example, in such case: 2015 Tacoma Dbl Cab 4x4 Off Road (6-Lug) Duratec 285/70R17 Tires XD Series Wheels w/ proper backspacing 3"" Front / 1"" Rear (Spacer) Leveling Kit Eibach/Toytec 112-620 Springs and Total Chaos UCAs may be useful.
  41. Answered by the admin This is the only tire information we have: What size tires can I run on a 16×8″ wheel? With 4″ or 4.5″ back spacing we have several trucks running 285/75/16 tires, but they may rub on the front depending on wheel width, and back spacing. We do not guarantee any tire/ wheel fitment and recommend you have your tire dealer install and “test fit” any wheel tire combination you are considering
