Designed for the serious off-road adventure seeker, the all new BILSTEIN 6112 Series Kit is the ultimate suspension solution. The 6112 Series optimizes off-road and on-road capabilities with a 60mm digressive piston for increased damping control. This kit features specially designed cold wound springs and an adjustable spring seat which allows for vehicle leveling, larger tires, and increased ground clearance. The kit comes with (2) 60mm shocks (2) springs and (2) billet spring seats. The 6112 is a direct bolt on application for late model half-ton trucks and SUVs which utilize a factory coilover suspension. The 6112 kit is for front applications and reuses the OEM top mount and spring isolators. To maximize performance, Bilstein recommends a 5160 Series remote reservoir shock for the rear

1 review for Bilstein 6112 .06-2.5″ Front Series Kit for 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma

  1. 5 out of 5

Before I start, let me just say, the 6112’s are massive! I had to get a new spring compressor to set the coil on the shock, since the ones I had didn’t fit around the coil while the shock was in place. I have these set at the fourth setting and have received a little over 2.5” of lift. This way I did not need to get new upper control arms in order to get my alignment into spec. Since I’ve installed these, I have driven about 800 miles on the highway and went through a mud pit I have in my back yard. The ride is noticeably stiffer than it was before, but it is considerably smoother. So far I am happy with how the 6112’s are preforming paired with Toytec AAL and their Boss shocks. My 2007 Tacoma drives like a new truck. I could not be happier that I finally pulled the trigger and lifted my truck.

Questions and answers of the customers

    1. A It is not recommended to stack lifts. Shocks can be used on stock height adjustments
    2. A Yes, it's possible. Please be sure to use not highest notch adjustments not to exceed 3'' of lift in order not to damage the suspension
    3. A Springs are 0.6'' higher than stock, manufacturer does not provide spring rate info but it is about 10% higher than stock from our experience
    4. A Coils are similar. Can't say if you'll have lean with new coils if you had it with old or not - needs to be tested
    5. A 886 coils or adjustable coilovers
    6. Answered by the admin Although ride quality is subjective, 6112 will ride better than stock.
