Tire Information:

Q. What size tire can I run after installing your 3″ lift?
We recommend 32×11.50×15 tires, or a 275/70/16 tire on 8″ wheels. We do not guarantee any tire/ wheel fitment and recommend you have your tire dealer install and “test fit” any wheel tire/wheel combination you are considering

NOTE: Toytec Lifts Suspension parts do not fit 5 wheel lug Tacoma’s. Please check your application before ordering.

Installed the kit on my 2003 4×4 access cab TRD Tacoma. Installation wasn’t too difficult. I had to rent a spring compressor in order to assemble the coil over and then use a miniature jaws of life hydraulic lift to get the compressor out of the spring once it was attached to the shock. Gave my truck the exact lift that I wanted! very well put together kit. fits a 285/75/16 with ease (there is a small amount of rubbing but that more a wheel issue). Other then that, great kit! highly recommend for a solid 3″ of lift

NOTE: You will need to replace the Upper Control Arms with anything over 2.5″. otherwise you will have almost no travel due to the angle of the bolt in the stock UCA. So yes, with this kit plan on buying new UCA’s

Bolted right up to my 96 tacoma 4×4 Reg Cab nicely, and gave my front end a much needed lift after having installed my arb bumper on stock suspension. I’m very satisfied with the quality and appearance of the product everything arrived well packaged and undamaged!

Just installed this lift on my 99 sr5 Tacoma… It took me about 8 hours to do by myself. Looking back, it isn’t necessary to take the lower ball joint mount off to install the struts although the instructions say to do so. The lift looks great. Truck looks to sit level. Still have factory wheels with 31/ 10.5 tires which look good but im ready to see the new wheels on. Go for an alignment next week so not sure if ill have to upgrade my uca’s like some others have. Ill let u know if I have to replace em. Satisfied

Worked on my 1996 toyota tacoma single can 2.7l without the toytec coils. Just spray painted the stock coils and still got some lift.

Badass kit. Went together really well only thing I could think of was maybe a little bit longer shock bolts .

I just installed this kit on my ’99 Tacoma 3.4 ext. cab 4×4 with 280,000 miles. I have yet to drive it because I haven’t been able to take it in for an alignment, but based only on looks, it looks great. I’m still sitting on stock 31×10.50 tires, but still looks good, despite the undersized tires. I’ll probably go up to 32 or 33s eventually, but I’m ok with the 31s for now. As a side note, I did install new leaf springs as well, because after almost 300k they definitely needed replacing. It appears to sit completely level from front to rear (struts set at lowest setting with the 2″ aal in rear). We’ll see how it drives after an alignment, but based upon aesthetics alone, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade from their factory setup, while giving it a more capable appearance at the same time. Also, I would recommend coughing up the extra $100 for coilover assembly, trying to do it yourself with a cheap spring compressor isn’t safe. Hope this helps those of you considering purchasing this kit. I’ll write a update if I find it drives poorly after an alignment.

I have installed this on my 2001 Tacoma 4×4 extended cab with differential drop. Installation was pretty simple. Just like ive read on here, i do recommend spending extra 100 for the coilover, bit dangerous to do it. Now as for getting proper alignment done after it seems like its not possible without spending the 700 on upper control arms. It will wonder and will wear your tires uneven. It does ride a lot more harder so you might keep that on mind. Over all it looks good. As far as tires ill keep updated, need to figure out this alingment issue. Just really think toytec should say that with this kit you will need different uca’s for proper alingment

Had this kit installed on my ’99 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner and replaced the bushings/washers for the front shocks as recommended. Got a level 3″ lift with the coils and 5100s adjusted to the lowest setting in front, paired with the 2″ aal in the rear. Ride quality is awesome and the truck still looks good with 31s, although 32s would bexpect better. Perfect application for the Prerunner.

Questions and answers of the customers

  1. There are no answers for this question yet. Answer now
  2. A the exhaust does not need to be relocated but we don't recommend this kit for 2.7L Tacomas because they can exceed more than 3 inches of lift and damage might occur
  3. Answered by the admin shakles are recommended fo medium or no bigger then stock load, add a leaf is for towing and heavy loads carrying
  4. Answered by the admin No extra parts neededFor single cab please try 2nd notch adjustment - with higher notches you may gain more then 3'' of front lift/It is not recommended
  5. Answered by the admin Yes, it will fit itit is 6-lug. Please use 1st clip setting because you may overlift the front by using higher clips if have no additional constant load in the front such as heavy bumper or winch
  6. Answered by the admin Yes, you are right
  7. Answered by the admin UCA's are recommended but not require, the benefit of the UCA's is to  fix the caster when the vehicle is getting aligned and also helps you a  lot with articulation on the front end.
  8. A are upper control ams necessary for this lift kit?
  9. Answered by the admin It will give you about 3'' front lift on the 2nd notch adjustment. It is not recommended to go higher.UCA's are recommended but not require, the benefit of the UCA's is to  fix the caster when the vehicle is getting aligned and also helps you a  lot with articulation on the front end.
  10. Answered by the admin It is not recommended to stack lifts. Also please don't exceed 3'' of total lift without many construction changes - can damage the suspension. These front shocks are height adjustable can give you 2.5'' front lift by themselves, without using spacers. - spacers are to be removed.
  11. Answered by the admin Yes, for double cab it will be good.It is not recommended for single cabs as they are lighter.
  12. Answered by the admin With 8" width Rim* the Tire with 12" Width* and 32" diameter should fit if Backspace is 4.5"Bigger tires may need some precise castorcamber adjustment or some trimming - will depend on additional weight carried and suspension parts condition
  13. Answered by the admin Body lift does not depend on suspension - you can add any amount of body lift you wish. The suspension lift more then 3'' is not recommended in order not to do harm to the suspension and cv axles
  14. Answered by the admin Yes, all the hardware included
  15. A I did not get new top mounts or bushings for the front of my shocks. Had to use the old ones🙁
  16. Answered by the admin We recommend getting a kit with adjustable coilovers like a BOSS kit or an Ultimate kit they offer higher rate springs and coilovers can be adjusted.
  17. Answered by the admin That is correct. It is assembled with the top mounting plate and all necessary hardware.
  18. Answered by the admin UCAs are always not the bad idea, but this kit will work without them.
  19. Answered by the admin

Will the front be lifted more then the back or not will depend on several factors.
First of all, whether you often carry much weight or not. Also if your truck is leveled now or the rear is slightly higher then the front now (before lift).
Typically the stock trucks have their back slightly higher then front, so this kit is designed to level the truck.

  20. Answered by the admin We don't recommend this kit for a standart cab 2,7L 4cyl tacoma, because it front is too light for this kit. The quad cab may fit only if it'll have a reinforced heavy bumper and a winch on the front. It's better to use a kit that'll be slightly lighter on the front or use coilovers with adjustable height - something like https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/1995-2004/boss-1995-2004-toyota-tacoma-suspension-system/ or https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/1995-2004/ultimate-toyota-tacoma-lift-with-bilstein-shocks/
